The London Business Guide Organisation(LBG) have been working to improve the infrastructure of minority business community in the UK in order to enable the community to contribute more effectively to the British economy.
LBG is a well established private umbrella business organisation, offering Business Support Services in the UK to a wide variety of clients and members. LBG has a satisfied network of clients, based throughout the UK and EU, including SMEs businesses in London. LBG was initially established for the purpose of serving UK business activities. The London Business Guide Organisation (LBG) exists to assist and promote the development of business community in London and elsewhere in the UK. It is a comprehensive resource centre for companies. Its mission is to provide businesses with topical information, management tools, promotional programmes, business related products and services and IT support, all to help business owners and entrepreneurs expand and manage their companies more efficiently and profitably.
LBG also regularly arranges business meetings, Business Networking Events in London that prominent businessmen, governors and politicians from the UK and European Countries are invited.
One of LBG`s most effective initiatives has been the publication of the Turkish Business Directory UK-EU, which provides a platform at all levels of business for Turkish Minority Enterprises in the UK. The Directory provides advice on how to set up a business in the UK; information on business networking services; includes profiles of successful business people in the UK and EU countries and provides a Directory of 25,000 businesses and companies that want to promote themselves to the Business community. The mission of the publication is to provide a platform to all business levels of the Turkish & Minority Enterprises within the UK-EU economies. This directory is also focusing on providing a link between the potential businesses and authorities supplying high level service support. With the help of the directory, many business people will meet different agencies, which will promote & consolidate the development of minority businesses. There will be a classified section allowing readers to access business contacts easily. Business sectors will be represented by the diversity & impact of the Turkish Minority Enterprises that contribute to the UK- EU economies.

The Turkish Business Information and Development Centre EU is opened in London The Turkish Business Information and Development Centre (TBIDC), which provide services to the business people in the UK and the rest of Europe, is opened at 146-148 Oxford Street by the London Business Guide Organisation. Business people and investors can obtain information and initial consultation free of charge about business opportunities and expansions in Europe, especially in the UK. The TBIDC will also act as a bridge between the Turkish community and the foreign organisations in Europe.
The London Business Guide has founded the TBIDC based on its experience over the last four years, where this centre will organise seminars and introduce business development consultants to the Turkish business community in the UK. The business people from Turkey will be able to get necessary information and use all the facilities and services provided by the centre, such as meeting space, business consulting, translation and virtual office services. T h e workshop/Turkish Business Networking Event and Dinner - Conference, organised by London Business Guide, took place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel on Friday October 27, 2006. Notable people from European businesses and politics participated in the Dinner-Conference as it marked a first where Turkish origin European & British MPs, businessmen from diverse European countries and local politicians gathered in such a networking event. The speakers at the conference expressed their views on the Turks and Turkish businesses in Europe. This programme came to an end by the Awards Ceremony.
UK’s most distinguished business organisations also participated in this unique event, which was organised for the first time by a Turkish business organisation, London Business Guide. Eminent British and Turkish business people attended the workshops, which were classified under three distinct topics. Train to Gain gave a workshop regarding business supporting services and business training, Davidson Morris Solicitors regarding Ankara Agreement (ECAA) and immigration for Turkish businessmen in the UK, and London Business Guide regarding business supporting services in London and in the UK as well as their Turkish Business Directory UK-EU 2006-07. Additionally, BusinessLink, Train to Gain, Southwark Council, and representatives from LSC attended the Business Networking event by opening their stands.
The Dinner- Conference commenced with an opening speech by Abdullah Pehlivan, Director of the London Business Guide at 20:30 in the evening. The speeches were respectively followed by Atilay Ersan, Turkish Minister-Counsellor; Fatma Pehlivan, Senator for Belgium; Tuncay Ercenk, Turkish MP representing CHP’s General Director Deniz Baykal; Claude Moreas, British MP & MEP; Nilgun Canver, a member of Haringey City Council; Ali Ozmen Safa, businessman who invested in the UK and Cyprus and finally, by Demet Sabanci Cetindogan, who invested successfully across Europe & Turkey. During their speeches, these notable people expressed their opinions and thoughts.
During the Awards Ceremony, which constituted the final part of the confe- rence, London Business Guide presented awards to businessmen and organisations as well as to scientists to show appreciation for their success in Europe and UK. The following were the individuals, organisations and businesses that were deemed outstanding in year 2006 for their hard work and performance: Claude Moreas, MEP, presented the most successful entrepreneur Turkish Businesswoman in Europe award to Demet Sabanci Cetindogan (Sabanci Holding in Turkey). The most successful Turkish businessman in Europe award went to Aygun Efendi who resides in Germany and the award was presented by Fatma Pehlivan, Senator for Belgium. The most initiative institution award was given to TurkishBank UK Ltd by Atilay Ersan, Turkish Minister-Counsellor. The most successful regional newspaper award was given to Avrupa Newspaper by Tuncay Ercenk, Turkish MP. Last but not least, the most successful scientist in the UK award was presented to Prof. Mustafa Djamgoz by Nilgun Canver, member of Haringey City Council. | |
